The new 200 Riels Cambodja banknote P-65A and B-436, equivalent to US$0.05 or €0.04, features a stunning combination of gray, green, and orange colors. It measures 138 X 64 mm in size and has no security thread.
On the obverse side of the banknote, you can see the Coat of Arms, a naga or mythical snake, and a portrait of King Norodom Sihamoni as a youth. On the reverse side, the banknote showcases the Preah Thineang Chan Chhaya, also known as the Moonlight Pavilion, of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. It also features Paul Ducuing’s statue of King Sisowath at the National Museum of Cambodia.
The banknote was printed with a watermark of a floral pattern and was introduced on November 14, 2022. It is signed by Chea Chanto and Tha Yao.
The new 1,000 Riels Cambodja banknote P-67A and B-437, equivalent to US$0.49 or €0.42, It is colored in blue and measures 146 x 68 mm in size. The banknote has no security thread.
On the front of the banknote, you can see the Coat of Arms, a naga or mythical snake, and a portrait of King Norodom Sihamoni as an adult. On the back of the banknote, it showcases an ancient stone artifact, the Prasat Tao or King Lion Temple, located at Sambo Prei Kuk Kampong Tom Province. The banknote also features a chinthe or King Lion.
The banknote was printed with a watermark of a diamond pattern and was introduced on November 14, 2022. It is signed by Chea Chanto and Tha Yao.
