The 10 Patacas banknote is dated 01.01.2022, and is equivalent to US$1.25 and €1.08, with paper money catalog numbers P-88G and B-193. The banknote’s vibrant color is red, and it measures 138 x 69 mm in dimensions.

On the front side of the banknote, you’ll find a depiction of a tiger, symbolizing strength and power, along with a representation of the zodiac. These elements add artistic and cultural significance to the design.

Flipping the banknote to its back side, you’ll come across notable landmarks and symbols. The imagery includes Banco Nacional Ultramarino, a renowned bank, as well as the A-Ma temple, a significant historical site. An ox, a symbol of determination and hard work, also makes an appearance on the back of the banknote.

To enhance security, a 4-mm wide security thread is embedded in the banknote, which features a windowed section and the demetalized number 10. This thread adds an additional layer of protection against counterfeiting attempts.

The banknote is printed by Hong Kong Note Printing, Limited (HKNP), a reputable printing company based in Hong Kong. Their expertise ensures the quality and integrity of the banknote’s design and production process.

A watermark is present on the banknote, featuring a delicate lotus flower and an electrotype representation of the number 10. This watermark is another security feature that aids in authenticating the banknote.
