To enhance security and prevent counterfeiting, the banknote includes a 5.5-mm wide winged windowed holographic security thread with demetalized 1000 CBRF. The watermark on the banknote features Nikolskaya with the bridge and an electrotype 1000, providing an additional layer of security and authenticity.

This 1,000 Rubles banknote is printed by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Goznak” in Russia (FGU), known for its role in producing secure documents and currency. The banknote was issued in 2023 with the prefix “PP.” It was introduced into circulation on October 16, 2023.
