Paper Money Book

The 1000 Pound (US$18.08; €15.55) banknote, P-81b and B-418a, is a legal tender issued by the Central Bank of Sudan. The note has been designed with advanced security features to deter counterfeiting attempts and to ensure its integrity in the financial market.

The banknote is predominantly blue in color and has dimensions of 160 x 74 mm. The front of the banknote features an image of a sorghum plant and grain silos. The image is in high resolution and features intricate line work and microprinting to prevent replication. The back of the banknote depicts a sorghum plant, waterfall, and farmers plowing the field with cattle.

One of the key security features on this banknote is the RAPID windowed security thread with Islamic ornaments. This feature can be viewed under UV light and helps to authenticate the banknote, making it difficult to counterfeit. Additionally, the banknote features a watermark of a secretary bird and electrotype CBOS / LS 1000, which is visible when held up to light.

The banknote was printed by the Sudan Currency Printing Press (SCPP) and bears the date of May 2022, with the prefix KH and an introduction date of 16.08.2022. The banknote features the signature of Jangool, located at the bottom left corner.
