“PMR Financial System” commemorative issue

The banknote at hand is a distinct 1 Ruble denomination, P-69 and BNP218. Richly adorned in a deep shade of brown, this note carries dimensions of 129 x 56 mm.

On the obverse side of the banknote, a commanding portrait of General Alexander Vassilyevich Suvorov takes center stage. This image is emblematic of his significant contributions to history. Adding to its historical significance, the banknote bears a 75th-anniversary logo overprint, an homage to the revered figure, on a base note of P42b (B-209b).

Flipping the banknote offers a glimpse into another facet of history. The depiction of the Kitskansk/Chiţcani Bridgehead memorial commemorates the pivotal Soviet Jassy-Kishinev Offensive of 1944. This poignant scene captures the spirit of those who participated in shaping history.

Security is bolstered by the inclusion of a winged security thread, strategically woven into the composition to thwart counterfeiting efforts. The esteemed Transdniester printing institution was entrusted with the creation of this banknote, aligning with their reputation for precision and expertise.

A watermark featuring Alexander Suvorov, accompanied by an electrotype marking of ПРБ (Russian abbreviation for “PRB”), contributes an additional layer of authenticity and security. The date of origin is recorded as 2007, with a modification in 2012. The banknote formally entered circulation on May 6th, 2020, marking a point of significance in its journey.

A limited quantity of 2500 notes were thoughtfully packaged within booklets, each encapsulating a piece of history and remembrance. This banknote serves as a tribute to the legacy of General Suvorov and the historical events it represents.
