The banknote in focus (P-131 and B-862) showcases Ukraine’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, encapsulated in a tapestry of currency design. With a denomination of 100 hryven (equivalent to US$3.54 or €3.04). Its color scheme features an elegant olive green and burgundy, while its dimensions measure a stately 142 x 75 mm.

The obverse side of the note is a tribute to Ukraine’s 30th anniversary, adorned with a commemorative logo to mark this milestone. Prominently featured alongside the logo is the revered artist Taras Shevchenko, a cultural icon whose legacy continues to inspire. His image on the note is a nod to the nation’s commitment to artistic expression and the preservation of its identity.

Turning to the reverse, the banknote unfolds a breathtaking panorama. The Chernecha mountain landscape near Chercasy takes center stage, capturing the country’s awe-inspiring natural scenery. Paired with this is an evocative portrayal of a guide boy, a symbol of mentorship and unity as the nation forges ahead.

The banknote incorporates an innovative security feature in the form of a motion windowed security thread. This dynamic element showcases the demetalized 100 ГРН (the currency code in Ukrainian) and the trident, a national symbol that represents Ukraine’s history and aspirations. These security measures underscore the note’s authenticity and safeguard against counterfeiting.

Crafted with precision by the Banknote Printing and Minting Works of the National Bank of Ukraine (BPMWU), this note embodies the nation’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship. Its watermark features the likeness of Taras Shevchenko, harmonizing with the electrotype 100 to assure its legitimacy.

The note is dated 2021 and bears the unique serial number range ЯА 0.000.001 – 0.030.000, symbolizing its distinct identity. It was introduced into circulation on the 20th of August, 2021, signifying a significant chapter in Ukraine’s economic narrative. With a limited quantity of 30,000 pieces, this note attains an air of exclusivity.

The signature of Kyrylo Yevhenovych Shevchenko, a notable figure, adds a touch of personal authentication to the banknote. In its entirety, this banknote is a visual tapestry that weaves together Ukraine’s cultural treasures and natural splendor, encapsulating the nation’s spirit and progress.
