Sierra Leone new 2 leones banknote
The 2 Leones banknote (P-35; B-130) is an orange and brown colored note with a dimension of 125 x 64 mm. The obverse side of the note features a port building and a cargo ship in the center, with the coat of arms and the name of I.T.A. Wallace-Johnson on the top and bottom respectively. The reverse side of the note shows a stylized man with a cluster of dates, and the Bank of Sierra Leone building.
The banknote is equipped with a windowed security thread to ensure its authenticity. The printer responsible for producing this banknote is De La Rue, a renowned printing company based in London, England. The watermark on the banknote consists of a lion head and an electrotype 2.
The note is dated 27th April 2022 with a prefix of AA – AJ and an introduction date of 1st July 2022. The banknote is signed by Kallon and Stevens.
