Bangladesh new 50 taka banknote
Celebration of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel
The 50 Taka banknote, P-73; B-365, is characterized by its green and yellow color scheme and has dimensions of 130 x 60 mm. This banknote is equivalent to approximately US$0.59 or €0.51. On the front side of the banknote, you will find prominent figures such as Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and the entrance to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel.
Flipping the banknote over to the back, it features the interior of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel and the bank logo.
The security features of this banknote include a 2-mm wide windowed security thread with demetalized bank logo and “50,” enhancing its resistance to counterfeiting. The banknote is printed by the Security Printing Corporation Limited (SPCBL) in Bangladesh, ensuring high-quality production. It also incorporates a watermark with the image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on a pixelated background, as well as an electrotype bank logo and “50.”
The banknote is dated 2023 and was introduced on October 28, 2023. It is signed by Talukder, adding a personal and official touch to its design and authenticity.
