Bangladesh new 50 taka banknote
50-taka notes commemorate the inauguration of the country’s first Metrorail
The 50 Taka (US$0.59 or €0.51) banknote, P-72 and B-364 measures 130 x 60 mm and comes in a stunning green and pink color combination.
The front of the banknote features the portrait of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Hasina Wajed, alongside an image of the Dhaka Metro Rail. The back of the note showcases the Dhaka Metro Rail, further highlighting its significance in the country’s infrastructure.
To ensure its authenticity, the banknote has a 2-mm wide windowed security thread with demetalized Bengali text. The banknote is printed by the Security Printing Corporation Limited (Bangladesh) – SPCBL, adding to its credibility and authenticity.
The watermark of the banknote features Sheikh Hasina on a pixelated background and electrotype bank logo and 50. This watermark further helps to distinguish the banknote from counterfeit currency.
The banknote is dated 2022 and was introduced on 29.12.2022. It is signed by Talukder, adding to its collector’s value. Overall, the 50 Taka banknote is a stunning representation of Bangladesh’s culture and infrastructure, making it a valuable addition to any currency collection.
