The front features the denomination in SPARK and as a registration device, alongside colored squares representing the traditional Lenca loom. A portrait of Bertha Isabel Cáceres Flores appears prominently, accompanied by imagery of the Gualcarque River and surrounding trees, honoring her environmental activism and indigenous leadership.
The back displays Cáceres’ powerful quote, “¡Despertemos humanidad! / ¡Ya no hay tiempo!” (“Let us awaken humanity! There is no more time!”). An aerial view of La Esperanza, Intibucá—her birthplace—forms the central vignette, together with the denomination as a registration device and the official seal of the Banco Central de Honduras.
