Central African States new family banknotes

New banknotes with the denominations of 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 and 10000 francs

An article published in Business in Cameroon on 7 October 2019 reported that the Banque des États de l’Afrique Centrale (Central African States Bank) was getting ready to release a new series of banknotes. This information was disclosed in Resolution N°7 during the regular meeting of the ministerial council of the Central African Monetary Union (UMAC) on 2 October 2019, held at the bank’s headquarters in Yaoundé, Cameroon. These new banknotes will replace the current ones that have been in circulation since 24 November 2003. Recently, on 22 November 2022, the new set of banknotes was unveiled and is scheduled to be launched on 15 December 2022.

Bahamas new 10 dollars banknote

The 10 dollar banknote (US$10.00; €8.60) with the P-87 and B-356, colored in gray and green, is a stunning piece of currency. Its dimensions of 156 x 67 mm make it easy to handle, while the Durasafe® substrate ensures its durability.

Syria new 50 pounds banknote

The 50 Syrian Pound (US$0.10; €0.08) banknote, designated as P-112b and B-636, is a legal tender issued by the Central Bank of Syria. This particular note has been designed with advanced security features to deter counterfeiting attempts.

The front of the banknote features an intricate design of the Ugarit alphabet on ancient cuneiform clay tables from Ebla. Cambodja 200 and 2000 rials banknotes

The new 200 Riels Cambodja banknote P-65A and B-436, equivalent to US$0.05 or €0.04, features a stunning combination of gray, green, and orange colors. It measures 138 X 64 mm in size and has no security thread.

On the obverse side of the banknote, you can see the Coat of Arms, a naga or mythical snake, and a portrait of King Norodom Sihamoni as a youth. The 10,000 Kip (US$1.10 and €0.94) banknote, P-41B and B-521 is predominantly blue in color and measures 152 x 68 mm.
